Could it be said that SOC can not exist without NOC ?

Managing Corporate networks is getting more and more difficult day by day.

Out-of-service, malware and ransomware attacks on corporate networks are increasing day by day.

In order to keep corporate networks afloat, they should be kept under observation 24/7 and intervened in the event of a possible attack.

This can only be done with NOC (Network Operations Center) and SOC (Security Operations Center) teams.

NOC and SOC are not two services that are rivals or conjugates of each other, they are services that complement each other without the other being incomplete.

It can be done by separate teams, or it can be done by the same team in an integrated way. NOC and SOC can be done in-house or purchased as a service.

The SOC stands for security operations center, while the NOC stands for network operations center. They collaborate to create security measures for your firm.

The security operations center (SOC) is responsible for monitoring, preventing, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber attacks around the clock. SOC teams are in responsible of monitoring and safeguarding the organization’s assets, which include intellectual property, people data, business processes, and brand integrity.

A network operations center (NOC) is a centralized location from which enterprise information technology (IT) managers, either internal or third-party, supervise, monitor, and maintain a telecommunications network.

The benefits that can be achieved with NOC are:

  • Monitoring of network traffic and network components 24/7
  • Possibility to improve network infrastructure
  • Bandwidth optimization and delay detection
  • Network access control
  • Hardware list/Asset inventory
  • Possibility of service level agreement
  • Cost efficiency
  • Problem detection and patch management
  • Help desk service

The benefits that can be achieved with SOC are:

  • Continuity of protection
  • Minimum response time
  • Establishing credibility with stakeholders and customers
  • Ease of problem analysis
  • Threat detection without allowing critical incidents

One last thing!

SAT Microsystems offer our IT infrastructure monitoring services in three models: NOC, SOC, SIEM. Since these services are the continuation and complement of each other, we also offer them individually or integrated. With our technical support service, we go one step beyond monitoring and protection and offer immediate response to problems.

So we can say SOC can be exist without NOC😊
